Burn ban Law enforced for the Town of Frankfort NY

Burning of refuse, trash, tires, or any solid waste including household gargage

leaves, treated lumber, plywood, painted or stained wood, waste petroleum products,

roofing and consrtruction materials, hazardous waste and their contrainers is prohibited. 

 

NYS Energy Code/Law  Updates   

Effective Jan 1 2026, No fossil fuel appliances allowed in Residential Buildings to include home heating, hot water, cooking or auxilary heaters. No provisions for supplying gas (gas supply lines) will be allowed. 

 

NYS Uniform Codes Updates 

Extensive updates have been made to the following Codes which include, Building Code, Residential Code, Fire Code, Mechanical Code, Fuel Gas Code, Property Maintenance Code and Energy Code. These changes go into effect on Jan 1, 2026.
